Emily is a registered dietitian, self-proclaimed foodie, and devoted dog lover. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University and completed her dietetic internship through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). She also holds a certification in lactation counseling through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice.
With more than five years of experience in nutrition counseling across clinical and public health environments, Emily has supported individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. Her areas of focus include women’s health, pre- and postnatal nutrition, and infant feeding. She helps support families through the challenges of picky eating, preventive health, and disordered eating.
Emily is dedicated to providing inclusive, culturally informed care that respects each person’s food traditions, preferences, and values. She believes that developing a positive and sustainable relationship with food is foundational to long-term well-being. Her approach offers tailored, compassionate guidance for individuals looking to improve their relationship with food or navigate disordered eating, drawing on intuitive eating principles and evidence-based strategies.
